Derek Poole began as a rookie last year and has built respect from his peers so much so he has been voted as a captain for this up-coming season and with a nickname like "Big D" and "Bam Bam" who can argue? Derek hails from Pelion, SC and he is also convinced its a real place although I've lived in SC my whole life and never heard of it. With a sports background in Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Track this man is a threat no matter where he is on the field. He spent this summer playing for Six Pack (a respected Club team). When asked for a quote Derek said " Put a kerosene rag around your ankles so the ants don't climb up there and eat that candy ass". Wise words from a wise man.
